Birds often like to nest in protected areas.

It is added expense but if it's done right, it will protect you in the event you get sued.

The best you would be able to get is a Letter of Environmental Protection, which tells everyone you did illegal work then hired a licensed deleader in to fix it.

Don't pay a deposit and hold retention to make sure you are happy with it to protect yourself against not having a bond or licensing board complaint to protect yourself with.

At the same time you can spend even more time on the ones you despise and learn them in order to protect yourself.

Since these are private there are sometimes very old covenants that were recorded before HOAs were common, and so today some of them are unenforced, and possibly completely unenforceable since they've been violated for years without action being taken...that can only be known by seeing what it contains and who is protected by it.
