I consulted 2 lawyers with one proposing I start separate companies in each state and/or country that I own a property.

Next thing you know you are looking at properties either halfway across the country or digging in deeper in areas you are familiar with.

The university keeps expanding, student housing keeps spreading, and this area is in the path.

I would have more sympathy for the guy who sat there in the dark because he couldn't afford rent and utilities, than to someone who just decides to steal what they won't pay for (starving people in third-world countries without money stealing food excepted). 

LOL, the "wholesaling" and "seller financing" threads, now recently the "lease option" threads have gotten frustratingly confusing to even experienced folks.I'm certain that in most states there is a legal path being unlicensed for LOs and other creative deal types.

Don’t forget that we still have one of the best medical centers in the world and companies are moving to Houston and Texas in general from all over the country, making our local unemployment rate one of the best in the nation.
