in your area the 100 year old craftsman houses were built by true carpenters .. there is simply no comparing the two.. not even close.. one thing that does help with proeprty here is you can just put stones in the yard so no yard work.. you dont have thaw freeze  no snow.but you do have blazing sun and heat .. but properties are once done little easier to maintain than in Milwaukee

We agreed to clean the heater and service it so they would have heat without the space heaters.

middle of the winter and although they have not paid for a long time I like occupancy to keep the place heated before disrupting things.

I suspect your condensation problem relates to heat escaping through the old roof and meeting the cold air. 

In winters I am positive that the heat cranked up higher than normal.

I have been living in one of the unit and renting out other 2 units which covers the mortgage and I’m just paying utilities, heat and water bill out of pocket.
