In fact, they might bring up the topic themselves since they are used to a routine.By closing in the middle of the month, you'll also have more time to get a feel for your tenants and their habits.

@Clint Coons or anyone else:   In regards to simplifying the signature, I was wondering what the harm would be in structuring the Property LLC as "manager-managed" with myself being the manager and the Holding LLC being the single member in a state that provides anonymity for both the member and manager.

Living in a habitable basement of the house doesn't seem to be much different than house hacking an SFR, which is fine with a VA loan.
