Also, if a broker is too busy to commit all his time to a certain listing and he lets me do the leg work (taking measurements, pictures, putting it on mls, negotiating, etc) would it be considered normal for that broker to get a cut of the final commission?

There is a special session in place this week, working overtime in the capitol on tax reform, and they have passed 'part one' of a two-step process that would cut taxes... the second part would be voted on in a referendum later this year, and that's the part that will make the substantial difference, by super-sizing the Homestead Exemption allowance.

This cuts down considerably on the "trial and error", although the nature of the beast is that sooner or later everyone gets at least one "lesson".
