And if you can accept a pet it's a bonus - many travelers have a hard time finding accommodations if they have a pet.

As a bonus, if interest rates do decline in the future, I can refinance to a lower rate which creates more value.While I have invested into mutual funds, done extremely well, I believe hard assets is a nice diversification at this point with a highly inflated stock market.

I do not understand how/why anyone would give equity (other than a small incentive bonus piece) to a service provider.

I am currently working with realtor but he said the climate is really is for people who has $ and renting out is a bonus not a necessary.  :(.   

I've been struggling with this topic myself - as a white woman I know I'm privileged and I had the bonus of having well educated parents and my dad was a stockbroker who taught me not just about money, but about wealth.
