Thank you for the information, I was a bit cautious about it initially due to the wire fraud warnings all over the place.

The first time I did it, I got a fraud alert from Chase and they canceled the transaction, but I went online and accepted the transaction as legit and then I haven't had a problem since.

Make sure to get a detailed explanation on the screening process and what steps they take to weed out fraud.

While I don't want to jump to conclusions, the picture on the ID is 100% inconsistent with the person I have seen.I understand the seriousness of accusing someone of identity fraud without concrete evidence, but I also have a responsibility to protect the interests of our property and existing tenants.

I'm surprised by that value and would have thought the actual value is closer to the assessed value of around 1.5x the value of my lot -- the neighboring lot is identical but has a building and businesses on it, and is appraised at just $100k more than what their appraisal shows for the unimproved lot. 

Signing it knowingly and selling their short sale property to a family member is Mortgage Fraud.

The last few scammers I dealt with had looked at public records themselves also and had done a pretty thorough job assuming the identity of the real owner, so just making sure the names match public records isn’t enough anymore.

I have done things with attorneys, CPAs, stock brokers, insurance brokers and others successful in business.General business knowledge, understanding of financing requirements, knowing property valuations, maturity in personal financial matters to give general advice, understanding of the foreclosure process, legal aspects as to liability in leading someone into financial matters, fully understanding fraud issues and the differences in a general matter where fraud might be applied as generally thought of and what may constitute bank fraud causing or even attempting to cause a loss to an insured bank having different standards.

I've been a member here for 2 years and thought not only could my colleagues share their insight but since I found the lender was also a member here that if he was fraud it would be awareness to others to beware.

There we just flagged it and reported as fraud.
