I think the answer to your question depends on the type of tenant you would be targeting.

In the event of an acquisition your "Checkbook Control" set up would not change.

I have my mind set at getting a short term rental to offset my W2 income.

To off-set the depreciation recapture, it would seem reasonable for me to request a concession (e.g., more shares) that's outlined in the Operating Agreement.

While dealing with all sorts of people, and dealing with lease violators, are all part of owning/managing properties, YOU set the tone for how you will be treated and how your tenants are expected to behave.
