These include things like: jurisdictional codes, wetlands, soil analysis, building setbacks, slope assessment, sewer/septic placement, water, power, driveway access, etc. a civil engineer can provide most of this information.

I figure the next step before closing is to get any soil sample tests and surveys done to make sure I know everything there is to know about the land and to make sure the county will approve the septic system.
