Most of the successful syndicators are NOT gurus - we are analytical types not sales types - and we make so much money as syndicators we wouldn’t want or need the hassle of the guru “lifestyle”.  

Given my strengths are in the analytical and administrative areas, long distance might be a good fit for me but would like to dive deep with people who are actually doing it.
