This is a completely selfish question but maybe the conversation will help others in the future that are in my position.

Selfishly, I don't want to help with # 1 as I don't need more competition, but my agent is too nice of a guy not to help him get more business. 

So not a total newbie, but newish.One of the things I found very surprising is how horrible and selfish some people can be.

I have two, one that is selfish, and one only slightly more selfish.

NO ONE can or will stay in business - if they can't.My problem is the exclusive and paramount attitude inherent in such a stance.By stating Jason - that the "only reason to be in business is to make a profit," impresses me as both exclusive and selfish!

During the interview, don't spend much time on splits and fees (you will look like a selfish novice).

Or maybe its because "Investors so good as yourself" are selfish jerks who shouldn't be investors and leave people looking for help to search for a company to help us because "YOU" wont spread the information to help someone in need seeking the same thing you are.

It's true that many Real Estate investors are selfish, but there are good ones out there who really do help those in mortgage/default trouble.
