Of course we mark up those materials 20-25%, but you are still paying less than you would and you don't have to do anything.Still, some people want to pick up an occasional product like a fancy faucet they saw on their trip to Italy.

Or you can go fancy and try cost segregation if you have room for more depreciation.

These both seem somewhat high though considering I’m not trying to build anything too fancy or custom.

It's often cheaper, more space, and more freedom for the students, so once they realize that in the dorms freshmen year it's a no-brainer.

Because the colleges rarely have dorms.

That is why club houses, fancy mailboxes, flag poles, paved roads and beautiful signs are not to be considered.
