Hello everyone.My name is Angel, I am 34 years old and new to BP and pretty much everything RE.

This December, I intend to get out of the active duty Air Force and joint either the traditional ANG or Air Force Reserves.I do not have the capital for any down-payment, so I'm thinking of joining a unit that is a few hours away, such as Charlotte, NC, and using the VA again to purchase a multi-unit with the intention of living in one unit once per month when I have to work.

I don't know about being an "Angel" I just want to assist with accurate and correct information.

Angel, I knew this was going to be an issue, having a mortgage originator's license doesn't qualify one to underwrite a SF deal, they may have the authority to do so but finding one to take responsibility is another matter.I suggest you call the consumer bunch at the CFPB and let them know the difficulty.

I still have a civilian employer and continue to serve in the ANG so my situation is a bit different, but as I was preparing to separate, I focused on education and learning ways to create multiple income streams.

Hi Ang, that is totally ok. 

There are contractor who have the accreditation as a Certified 203k Contractor which will be the best route to go b/c they've been 203k-educated and had their 203k experience, insurance, license and financials all verified to ensure they have sufficient money to pay for the startup costs ang ongoing expenses associated with 203k's. 

@Warren Ang You will need a separate wind policy if the property is coastal Florida.
