It can mean being an affiliate service provider: GC/sub trade, sales broker, debt provider/capital markets, property management, real estate attorney, real estate focused tax professional,  etc. 

Tardus is "investment agnostic" - they're teaching the strategy, not affiliated with a specific type of investment. 

But if this company Tardus was selling these notes and getting comp .. they are going to have issues if they are not licensed RAs or broker dealers..
