If your really needed it one could also consider hard money though that will come with higher rates and getting someone to give you 300k first time might be harder than just getting loan then you could refinance it later.Since your a high net worth person I would also try talking to local/regional and even big bank lenders.

So if I understand, you would get a loan the normal way and then the bank trust is an extra fee that comes along with owning the property in Mexico?

IF you have super strong income and you and have a lower 1st lien, lots of equity - MAYBE your best bet is using a local bank or CU to get most competitive HELOC inv terms.

Most land bank properties, Detroit or Wayne County, are trainwrecks and cost more to rehab than they are worth - unless the market keeps improving.Be careful on the next one, but keep improving Detroit!

When I tried to get it when my side of the family found out and tried ti take over reverser mortgage payments to bank because she had died it was to late so they sold the house to Hud and then other reverse mortgage companies but a relative still lives there so they can't kick them out.
