And a special thank you to @Justin R. for sharing that great advice I needed... my first and maybe one of the most important lessons on BP so far, especially pertaining to my phase in life right now.

So I agree with @Justin R. that you are unlikely to get the money you desire via a HELOC.If your term is short enough and you have the proper credit you may be willing to use your credit cards for this type of money.
