How to make sure the work done meets all the standards, and when inspection (home, termite, roof, etc) pass with flying colors?

Then you get into windows, roofs, sidewalks, parking lots, water and sewer mains going to the street etc. which can add another 2 to 3 k per door in expenses easily.So you could be looking at 80 x 13,000 = 1,040,000 in repair costs to stabilizeNo way a few hundred k is going to fly.

Although flying has, and probably always will be, a huge passion of mine, investing in apartments has always been an interest of mine as well.

Then I sawa good deal on a North Hollywood property and got a hard money loan for it while I raise cash to develop...and working on a flip in Reseda that I am partners on with a contractor that's in the family...My family and wife's family are all in la and we are very fortunate to have them involved with us but I am involved daily and fly out monthly or every few months...my career is in energy so Houston is where I have to be until my rental portfolio can sustain my family lifestyle

Generally a employment relocation would be justification however it is doubtful a change of mind will fly.

What you are seeing is a highly unorganised, often fly by night, business where personal opinions rather than good common scenes business practices often rules.
