I have always felt that insurance should only be used to protect against losses that otherwise can not be absorbed, and the data tends to agree (obviously, otherwise insurance companies would lose money).

In Texas (as well as 11 other states), you are not required to answer that letter or disclose it to anyone.While the data is available on the MLS for agents, it is not out as public information.

Bring in used as you go and get a dealers license so you can bring in new (especially at the entry).
