I am from Houston originally but have lived in Florida, Arkansas, and California plus spent a lot of time in a few other south western states.  

In some asia place, private space is simply not available, and extreme private space like you described above, is western culture invention.

In the western suburbs of Chicago where I work a lot, I am asked about seller financing all the time.

As mentioned by @Christian Cantarell,  real estate in Mexico is mostly a cash affair so a recession doesn't trigger mortgage defaults and forced sales like in the Western countries, making real estate investing over there much less risky on top of being much cheaper.

I've from Louisiana but have spent virtually every summer of my life in Western NC boating- was a whitewater canoe instructor for many years at a camp in that area.  

And have gone to great lengths of demonizing a person with 0 supporting evidence of your claims which are done in a VERY dramatized fashion each time, kind of like you just did yet again here.

He has partnered up with Western Wealth Capital to offer multi-family syndications to those in his network . 

I want more than anything to create better housing for Western NY and to have incredibly well maintained rentals.

@Ryan WrightSome additional options you can consider, if they are applicable to your personal & financial situation: 1) re-shuffle your portfolio allocation e.g. reallocate from securities (stock, bonds) to RE2) borrow from your 401K (consider the tax implication of repay loan using after-tax dollar + need to repay loan in full within a short period if you part way with your employer or are terminated)3) borrow from your cash value life insurance policy 4) tap into equities from your primary or rental properties5) good old fashion credit card - I still get some 0% APR promotions for at least 15-18 months from some companies.
