It is in Medford but you can get there by the Orange or Red line and a bus, or it is just a 2 mile walk from Davis Square if you do the Red.

However; in those markets sometimes builders are buying houses to remodel, add square footage, etc., so look for houses where that's possible.

Your income being so high would be a red flag, I'd be concerned you wouldn't stay long.
