Although I think this is about like the Dodd-Frank and SAFE laws in that no one will ever be policing and enforcing them - I guess my tenant screening idea would be against the law in at least some states.

And some neighborhood groups organize volunteers to remove them.And the police can track you down and issue a ticket, but I don't know how zealous they are about that.

I sent them a letter saying that the police department had informed me that my property was under surveillance for suspicious activities.They were out within the week.:)

If I read in the police blotter that a tenant was picked up for drug possession at a local bar, I can safely assume they possess drugs on my property and I will file for eviction.

Whole ordeal cost me over $2500.I also regret, of no ones fault but my own, not researching the area more which I would have avoided the stress of my own safety and the half dozen or so calls I made to police, which resulted in arrests.
