They usually don't report problems because they want to lie low and not get kicked out, so don't be surprised when you find the water heater has fallen thru the floor.

Not sure how all that bonding stuff worked, won't lie to you, but there were some ratios getting managed. 

People who are lying or misrepresenting situations generally have a hard time keeping up with the BS.. as soon as I hear someone make a contradictory claim I assume they are full of it.

However if they are using it to claim Guru status and they are lying, well then there may be an issue.  

The mountain views, indoor pools, hot tubs, etc all seem great, but are the numbers making sense in this new environment of technology and sellers squeezing every penny out of their property?

Think technology, business, etc.

We rarely have to go to court, but we have found that estoppels (of course in addition to signed original leases) help avoid disagreements (& lies) and bad feelings.

If I would’ve known about house hacking earlier I probably wouldn’t have made this deal but I’m still living way under the average rent so I can’t complain and don’t want to screw them over by moving out to house hack and only pay 3.5% down on something.I definitely don’t have $25-30k lying around for a 20% down payment so I guess I’m just trying to figure out what real options I have!
