We do plan to investigate what is above that opening.

I am right at about 21k for self employment income so preliminary and estimates work out to me owing about 3100 in taxes.

The preliminary numbers look good- (obviously much more in depth research is needed) but it brings up the question- how do you finance the 'big' one?

I live in Lakewood ca near long beach I'm looking to add a 702 sqft apartment onto my house the would be a 2nd story. i have preliminary floor plans looking to get quotes to move to the next level 

I have heard mixed information as to where to find that info.Does this show up when running the credit report on sites like Experian or TransUnion or do you have to call the tents prior landlords and do your own investigation?

I'm seeing more and more people doing videos and facebook streaming of projects, people, themselves, etc. and I that is something I want to investigate further.

thanks again for the advice @Omar Khan, I know I need to find the right team on the ground, and I'm looking to assemble such a team in the next few weeks.this is regardless of my investigating for the right area for my investments. 

Your best bet is a really solid contract with specific dates for things like loan application,  preliminary approval,  inspections etc. 

I'm in the due diligence process now what things should I be looking to investigate over the next few weeks to make sure this is a solid investment?

What neighborhoods would you recommend investigating?
