My question is the following, if I buy an investment property (while continuing to rent where I live), does that prevent me from qualifying for an FHA loan later on when looking to own my primary residence?

Since 1996 our socilist governments have only continued to make it extreamly pro tenant.

I've seen a handful of condos in the MLS this week that have had price decreases so hopefully (for me anyway, lol) that's a trend that continues into next year when I'm ready to buy and not just a couple of outliers.

Joists should be ok once they dry as long as they don't continually get wet.

Or do you continue to stick with OH because you can buy a home for the same amount you would use for a down payment here in CA?

I'm ready to continue renting and create cash flow elsewhere.

It would also be a space I would live in short term, probably two years and move out of and continue to rent.
