My insurance company is cancelling the policy on May 10th unless the exterior issues have been repaired (dry rot in a storage shed, peeling paint, broken window, etc).I am hoping the repair work will be done by then, but I want to have a backup plan.

skip a few boards then sand one board entirely and stain it with one of your new stains.time taken about 30 minutes start to finish.I wish I could take a picture and post it here. my results came out really. good. avoid using just one stain and covering the whole area it looks terrible Using multiple stains is really the way to go. the results came out very very gooddoing it this way it looks like you have some boards that are slightly a different color and if you are clever and duplicate this to a few other boards in the room it will really look intentional.. you have saved yourself a lot of time and made a repair that looks darn good.if you really want to make the whole floor sing praisesget a pole sander and use the dry wall screen and pole sand the entire floor lightly.sweep up all the dust. a few times and then spread a very thin coat of fast drying poly the whole floor will look awesome..the screening sanding will give the poly something to stick to.

In our case, these were small houses (25 x 30) {by today's standards}, and since we were trying to turn the basement into a living space ... just storage, the cost was not excessive.

We ended up having to pull the floor and subfloor (to dry the cavity between this unit and the one below) as a result.Formerly, in our student units, the most common call use to be lock-outs ... and always shortly after closing time.

But that may not be the case, so you would end up with the two younger adults who probably couldn't pay the rent on their own.Now, in the event that those offspring could each qualify, then you could still reject based on the information received from the previous landlord, where the applicants caused damages that were in excess of security deposits (and did not pay to cover all damages).
