Property is being sold as "STR Business" (website, branding etc) at about 3x what local comps for same size and bedroom count residential homes are going for.  

I’ve applied for the permit with the MOA and because my place has more than 3 bedrooms, they are requiring me to put down a $5,000 deposit as surety for their taxes.  

Which is not fun at all.With the 25K I needed cash to close and 60K in we basically do not have much of the 100K left that we saved up.However, we turned 3 bedrooms into 4 bedrooms and 1.5 baths in 2 full baths.

Hi B.P family,I purchased a two family seven months ago, one unit has three bedrooms and the other has two.

Do you have to go through one room bedroom to get to the next? 

The 2bd is 2 story unit that can be split in a way that would make the property look like 8 uniform units (Its a 2 story building with a 1 bedroom unit in each corner.

It has a 1 bedroom apt in the top and a two-bedroom apt in the bottom.

Making sure there is one space per bedroom occupied.

Goal & Property Type: Rents in this area range from $800-1200 per bedroom per month and I am looking to have my out of pocket housing expenses to be less than $600 / mo in the best area that I can find with as little down as possible.

The best homes for this are 5-6 bedroom homes in areas with good parking.Good luck!!
