Only you can answer #1...and #2 is not an obvious "yes".Most professional apartment management companies will not want a fractured property without on-site management...and many 3rd party SFR management companies are not set up to properly manage larger multifamily with the vendors that usually support the apartment community.I went with 3rd party management but it took me three management companies until I found a decent one (and they still have challenges over dedicated self-management).

I will bet that Blackstone would have been better off purchasing multi-unit properties.The book 'Be Obsessed or Be Average' written by Grant Cardone is actually a fairly-well written book considering he dedicated one chapter explaining how he is a recovered addict, turned his life around and became a multi-millionaire.

I know there are sites dedicated to the rental of luxuy short term rentals, but not a lot of investors here specializing in them.

If flying, then maybe you have something... do you have an extra (newer, maybe sexy) car to dedicate to this purpose?  

Would you know some websites that are dedicated for such renting scenarios.
