We border Crystal Falls which is pretty high end and we will have the house paid off in 2023. 

Greetings BiggerPockets community,I recently purchased a carriage house bordering the Norris Square section of Philadelphia.

I like southeast metro areas bordering or near solid neighborhoods(Crieve Hall).

For example, the numbers down in Fairfield County are significantly different than those up near the Massachusetts border, so if you haven't considered other areas of the state I recommend doing so before jumping into out-of-state investing.Being that you're just getting started, surrounding yourself with good people will be a sure-fire way to get the ball rolling.

For example, I did it in downtown Playa del Carmen and Puerto Vallarta, to the point that I was regularly crossing the same police cars and I was always afraid that they'd arrest me thinking that I was acting strangely. ;-).

Hi Sean and Rashmi,  I'm also from NJ but way up north...close to the NY state border.
