My father passed away 7 years ago and my mother decided she no longer wanted to deal with tenants, so she rented the floors out to my two older sisters and their families for cheap (she had no problem paying her mortgage, but she charged my sisters practically nothing for apartments worth easily $1100 each).

I started in the business with my father and father in law and since then have broken free on my own, and my father is actually on his own doing a "house Hack" type deal with my sister and her fiancé, and has interest in doing a few flips a year after he retires from his day job (in a couple years).You can also see about investor meet ups in your area.

Welp my son move up here with his family; Wife, daughter (wee I have a cute granddaughter, lol) and sister in law, that and counting my family (My wife and 13 year old son) is now a bit crowed here in my wee little 2 bedroom apartment.For some reason my credit score dropped way down which I think I discussed it in another forum, but its now back up to over 580 (via TransUnion) which I am hoping is enough for a FHA Loan.
