Yes, wood siding is more subject to moisture damage and rot, but you can pretty easily cut out a section yourself and (hopefully) replace it with an exact match.

When you only have 2, 4, even 10 properties I would be fairly confident that you can self manage without it being a huge hassle and you'll save yourself significant $$ (property managers typically run 9-11% of rent plus additional costs for replacing tenants).

I requested the seller fix the roof repairs (small fix), bathroom faucet leak, replace water heater (really old), and replace ac/furnace unit (old as well).There’s about 5 smaller things that I said I would fix.
