I guess I'm just not sure since I file taxes under my own SSN and because I'm not traveling.   

I am in IL though, I can travel some, but would prefer to keep working remotely! 

(A side consideration here are other goals such as family, lifestyle, stress reduction, travel, or whatever apply to your situation.  

@Brent Coombs  good points in my BRRR days when I was HML to CA buyers who were then BRRR and taking 10 to 20k cash out refis in 90 days of owning the home and retiring my HML ( loved it from my perspective LOL)  the investors would get this money and you would think they would pop It into their reserve accounts.. but I suspect many a boat... .exotic travel they they deserved, new car, clothes Jewerly etc etc was purchase with these funds... lack of reserves kills investors... this is a classic example

It really didn't matte,r I just saw my money go up in smoke.

And the year that made 5 years in undergrad worthwhile was living 10months in Florence, Italy (cementing my addiction to travel.)

Traveling to Altamonte Springs FL for job in the next few weeks, figured I'd give BP agent first dibs...Originally from Brevard FL, moved to SC, so not familiar with the area....looking for community like Viera FL in that area...around great schools, newer homes (I don't mind HOA and Cookie Cutter)...maybe to meet with/drive around when plans are finalized... 

I think you should assure her that her privacy will not be violated, but you will periodically do inspections with advance notice to ensure smoke alarms, etc. are working.  

Several leaks, polybutylene, mold, issues with the roof, shorts in smoke detectors and the hot water heater not meeting code.  

And, yes various other expenses are deductible,  like travel, education,  etc.
