I would just try to ensure that no other relative decides to move into the unit while they are supposed to be cleaning it out.

That ensures they stay alive, stay in contact, stay safe and warm, and have the means of getting to job interviews or doing whatever it takes to get back on their feet.

That includes items such as a bigger water meter, work in public space, updating the energy efficiency, fire sprinklers, and so on.

My question is, where can I find information about how make sure all of the steps are followed to ensure that we have the proper transfer of title?
