It's tricky in the beginning to get exposure to different asset types and therefore strategies, except in the academic sense via YT, BP, books & courses.

hello everyone, my original real estate investing plan was to buy several multifamily homes and house hack. but ive heard where i really want to move to, (south carolina) that state is not the best for MFH investing. what are the best type of real estate investing strategies in south carolina?

Has anyone had experience in house hacking a 3-4 plex and using different rental strategies on each?

-As you list your homes, try to have a list of properties in mind and which strategy you want to go with first (STR or LTR.) - Get with your CPA/accountant with your plan, so there's no surprises.- Work with a realtor who has experience with 1031 exchanges (whether it's as an investor or helping past clients)

Also if this is a good strategy do DSTs offer this type of investment and if so any recommendations.
