You should have a minimal increase regardless because that helps sustain the expectations of increases.  

There will be goals beyond that, but not all will be dependent on real estate exclusively.Initial goal: 2-6 unit property that will meet sustainable cash flow objectives, possibly obtained via FHA 3.5% down payment - obtained within 6-18 months.
