Sometimes people need to get in there in a hurry to shut off a breaker.If it isn't already painted to match the walls, doing that would help a little. 

Plus I don't get the shut off notices.

I've been looking into doing STRs year round but my province basically shuts down in the winter (a few towns close everything but gas stations in winter) so I'm not sure it's the best endeavour.

The local government keeps saying Catskill is up and coming and there have been a few new restaurants/bars and new shops in the area.
