The only way you might be able to deduct anything would be for carpetcleaning as well as cleaning the rest of the unit if that was addressed in your lease.

For non-Roth funds, you get a tax deduction on the contributions to the plan and then the investment gets to grow on a tax deferred basis - leaving your 401k with more money than you would be left with had you done the investment with personal savings.
