@Christian Bateman generally, the requirement is that you copy the property within a certain period (60 days is pretty standard) if you can not and do not, it is considered mortgage fraud, and a very serious crime.

Now that we do it electronically the lease is saved for review in their tenant portal but before that I don't think many tenant's even saved their copy of the lease.
