I run a professional fee-management company but this was on one of my own properties.The remaining tenant (casually revealed that they thought it was OK to steal from a "rich corporation") even though it was just my family they were stealing rent (occupying space) from.

I think your being very closed minded thinking that they must be replaced (which I would not as other said, since they do not hold up well).I would see if you can find a carpenter or flooring guy that can give you a quote on sanding and oiling (using the proper food grade oil for butcher block countertops).

As for those asking for Clayton (Morris) to chime in...he and his wife just had a new baby 3 days ago so they're probably a little preoccupied at the moment.So big thanks to ALL here on BP for being so helpful....us newbies have a lot to learn and we appreciate your patience.The good news is that while I'm over 50, I just read Rich Dad Poor Dad and gave it to my 20yr old son in college and he read the book in 2 days and the two of us are pumped to both getting started...luckily, he's young enough to have time to build up his investment experience with a lot of time....me..I'm running a sprint!
