@Zach White I have represented military buyers here in the Chicago market, and the only issue I have ever run into with the VA loan is if the appraisal doesn't come in high enough.

Anyone who has ever attempted to convince anyone of anything has run into objections.

Someone paying $1200 a month may expect stone (e.g. granite or marble) but someone paying $600 a month is going to take what ever is there.Note that I haven't even touched on styles.
