Corey Demuth Has anyone tried lending on prosper?
30 September 2011 | 15 replies
I've done some Prosper lending, and basically broke even over two years of making loans (I don't do it anymore). It seems that many A-credit borrowers suddenly decide to stop paying when it's a Prosper loan, and the recourse that the site takes isn't very useful (though I don't remember exactly what they do).All in all, I wasn't thrilled with the experience, but that may have been due to my poor investment decisions...

Brandon Shaw House problems seller failed to disclose
6 June 2016 | 5 replies
I don't believe it's the sellers job to disclose anything, it's your job to make sure you find problems and know what your buying, hence inspections fees at closing are paid by the buyer, not the seller; the inspector worked for you and your mortgage company.I would certainly ask the inspector about the water heater, that does sound odd, but don't suddenly believe the plumber who said it was all wrong either, they will happily make things up.In fact, the gas backing up into unit doesn't sound right at all.
