@Josh Caldwell - without looking at the data, I bet that rents in Ames, Iowa were really low and that 22% increase is something like median rents going from $400 => $500.

Over the years, I have found that if you have a clear data model (ideally 'implemented' in MySQL for instance) your success rate(s) for all other functions (UI, processing functions, interfaces, etc.) goes up dramatically.
