Thought I would put out my first post :) For background, I'm a new investor in the Houston area doing research before my first flip.

I would post this in the "landlording" forum.  

I do understand that most people do not think that way, But as I said, I have had people make remarks like that to me Like any trade, to do it properly and thiroughly, you have to have the right tools and cleaning products, and you have to have knowleedge, so not to ruin the materials used for tubs, etc.

@Choon Yee DeeRecommend exploring as many sources as possible to get referrals AND cross-reference them to get as much accurate information as possible.Check out NARPM.com, BP’s Property Manager Finder (BiggerPockets: The Real Estate Investing Social Network), etc.Also, encourage you to learn from the mistakes of others - by reading posts here on BiggerPockets about owners not having their expectations met by their current Property Management Company.

Just today, I posted something to the regular forum that is open to anyone and the same thing again to the Exclusive Pro only forum and the difference in results was amazing.

I realized after my post that she left the drivers license # field empty and when asked to supply a photo ID so we can verify spelling of name for the credit check rerun etc.. and get license # from her as well.. he took all day to respond and left message said she found another place and no longer interested..

(sidenote I am not recommending in this post to get divorced as a way to be a better real estate investor). 

As I read my post after sharing it, I realized that one thing my graduate degree did NOT help improve is my grammar.. haha :)
