I go crazy over how the front yard looks more than the inside unless it is really bad inside.For me the more difficult thing to deal with is unauthorized pets or people, smoking indoors, smoke detector batteries always dead, and difficulty contacting them (cell phone disconnected, become non-communicative when under stress, disappear in the night).Cheers!

Any advice or experience as it relate to tax or legal difficulties?

I have difficulty getting good list in my areas of Texas.  

Let me be the first to say that When we opened the company Doud Realty we had roughly 87 rental units in June of 2012,  this month we have brought our total up to 200 Rental units, and we working with technology, and embracing the future.  

I was also wondering what are some of the difficulties that come along with investing out here. 

We are having a little difficulty with financing through a bank because of the big down payment along with having 6 months reserves. 

Has anyone run into difficulties trying to collect the earnest money when the seller backs out?

She has been making the payment but due to her husband losing his battle with cancer (FYI he is also on the mortgage/deed) she has been hitting some financialy difficulty and is extremely motivated in removing this liability from her lap.

If you are open at using someone that is not local to you (now with the technology, internet, etc. you don't have to have to use someone with the brick and mortar office to walk into) then I could give you a recommendation. 

My focus is to learn as much as I can about REI and my goal is to build up my asset colum/networth in a stable and consistent manner for my family.I am open to any computer/technology questions that anyone has for me.
