The rationale being you are reducing your personal housing costs as the rented unit will be covering some of the costs. 

Personally, I'd do it.

A great way to meet people in your local community is to attend in person meet ups.

On the other hand, BRRRRs will cash flow slightly.I personally think that the farm purchase is more of an emotional decision for me and I am leaning towards not going forward so I can invest in BRRRRs which helps me achieve my goals more quickly. 

@Logan Rex if you are considering selling the SFR and going with a Highrise for house hacking purposes of eventually after the year or 2 and then keeping it as a rental.

I personally grew up in Cleveland and invest there so I am familiar with the market.

Why are you trying to pay $99/month when you can just go to in-person meetups and 10x the experience in 1 hour?

I assume that Insurance will provide me protection against specific risks but not provide liability protection to personal assets. 

Personally I wouldn’t rent it for less.
