Maybe invite a featured experienced guest speaker for a Q&A session.

And there was the speaker with a picture of his wife and him Hiking in Montana and talking about how RE will set you free  Blah blah blah.  

I attended the New Investor group and they had good information and guest speakers.   

The plan[which we forgot about for a few years] was for LJ to be a motivational speaker to encourage others not to give up.

I went a couple times and they had a couple different speakers, but I would have loved to seen J Scott present.

There is really no high pressure selling from the front of the room several guest speakers etc.You may want to check it out. www.texasexpo.com

It is focused on landlording however there is always a great time of networking before and after the speaker.

The meeting starts at 6 p.m. at the North Raleigh Hilton (3415 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, NC 27609) and the guest speaker will be Larry Harbolt.
