The building is held in an LLC that is owned by the son and the wife of the original owner.

Came across related people and come to find out she had a son who is also deceased but got in contact with her daughter in law who was married to her deceased son and still carries his last name.

I took 7 years off investing in down economy and job change, but now own four 4 plex units, one 5 plex and one 8 plex (the 5 and 8 plexes are 50/50 with my son).Here is my question? 

No one looking to buy wants the business, they want the property which can and will be used to build an apt complex of at least 50 apts (on the conservative side)  and possible +100, which we've been told by the board is very likely since they want to build the area up.Does anyone have any experience in building a complex like that from scratch, i want to get into real estate and me (his son) this could be a huge step in the right direction, we have some investors we can sit down and talk with in the near future.

Hi Mike, my son is a sophomore Aggie.

His son took over his brain surgery practice while Sherry inherited her father's love for real estate. 

These two will both be partially managed by, and subsequently left to, one of my sons someday. 

Basically, the son has real estate dreams, the family is very wealthy, and this is their way of teaching him how to build a company.
