Electrical was done beautifully, one panel for common areas and then one panel for each floor. 3 easy access water tanks and furnaces.

A cabinet person can answer more completely if you can do it the way you propose but we have bought a prefinished veneer for end panels like you show.

I paint the walls but I don' t replace the paneling with drywall.I rip out bad kitchen cabinets but I replace them with craigslist used onesI leave in old carpet if it is still in good shape but not a nice color. 

I think we are going to come on the market at 1.95  exicted about it.. we put an elevator in it..I was in a client of mine in Singapores home in Feb and he had an elevator in his 3 story home .. ( and a single family detached non lease hold home in Singapore is some big buckaroos.. but anyway it was glass like a hotel kind of cool.I was also toying with a Tesla solar roof and power wall if I could get that by the BAR.. probably not though .. lets just keep this market going for a few more years please.. :)

Wood paneling everywhere, pink 4x4 tile in the bathrooms, orange and green countertops, you get the picture.

I've never installed the metal roofs, but plan on going to metal when I need to do a roof replacement next (except on my personal house, that thing is getting a tesla solar roof lol). 

Not sure what most people do in this situation..Or I can just add the hookups for each unit and run the electric from my common area panel and run the hot water right from the units hot water tank.

I do need to get the house appraised since I've done some upgrades to it; like remodeling the kitchen, adding solar panels on the home, and other little cosmetic work. 

I plan on getting rid of/painting over all of the brown wood paneling in this house, replacing all of the flooring, rebuilding that small deck off the master bedroom, some minor landscaping, replace the garage and front doors, replace exterior door under deck, replace all light fixtures, update the kitchen (keep cabinets and paint them white with new pulls), paint the outside and add siding to the right side and back of the house (front and other side has siding already), change out bathroom sinks and countertops, paint all the cabinets in each bathroom, perhaps install walk in shower in big bathroom that has the tub.I plan on keeping the marble flooring in the entry way and try not to replace any windows.

In regards to solar... could be a great option to consider.
