He was mentally not as sharp as he once had been (but fortunately was still functioning well mentally, his issue was almost all physical which may be even more frustrating). 

I am a repeat founder and data nerd who is eager to build a new venture in the investing/data space.I was hoping some (or many) of you would be comfortable sharing pains in investing that you wish went away.You know, things that are so frustrating that you'd pay to have them stop.

I honestly should have more money saved up considering my years of working full-time, however younger financial mistakes have been a painful lesson and I regret not purchasing a property sooner/younger.My most important and immediate goal right now is to purchase a property.I am in (what I perceive to be) a relatively high cost real estate area. 

Hopefully some sharp investors read this and offer me and others advice on how to navigate better.

Yea there's some growing pains - but experience is the best teacher.

This immediate implementation would have been very bad for investors, bad for resident homeowners, bad for renters: would have been all-around painful.
