I've seen cities less than 3 miles from each other operate completely different just because they have different feeling on what is and isn't required so the actual inspector will be your best source of information.One thing you may have going for you is depending on the sentiment in the area, the city may be very glad that you are just getting an asset performing again and removing a vacant property from the area.
