If he gets put out he's just going to wear out someone else's welcome, which is probably a friend or family member and that's where he belongs instead of putting off his problems on you.

He is too prideful to admit he doesn't have the cash and even had a family member send part of his rent for one month.

Switzerland does impose some restrictions on foreign and non-residents buying property but you can still buy and several members of my family actually own property there.

I'm a new BP member in New York City & Westchester County.

If they have been paying on time and taking care of the place, there is no need to screen them.If they want their friend or family member to live with them, then you screen that person and decide if you want them living there. 

I would highly recommend getting a single member LLC.
